you love just saying words

lucifer and charon

see the souls over whom anger prevailed, in the warm bath of the sun they were hateful, down here in the black sludge of the river styx do they wish they had never been born.

did I request thee, maker, from my clay / to mould me man? did I solicit thee / from darkness to promote me?”

i think we all know that frankenstein has a ton of biblical references, specifically towards milton's paradise lost; but i feel as though nobody talks about the similarities between dante's inferno and the phantom of the opera. i'll just continue typing and hope that whatever comes out makes sense.

its kind of like this: phantom of the opera has dante's inferno, frankenstein has paradise lost, and hunchback of notre dame has the bible

because uhhh. you know. theyre othered and feared because of their appearances and behaviour somewhat.
